D.I.AL.O.G.
Data Indicating the ALignment of Organizational Goals
“Superb execution is not just about doing the right things. It is about doing the right things faster, better, more often, and more productively than your competitors do. It calls for a commitment from employees that goes way beyond the normal company employee relationship. It is all about what I call a high-performance culture.”
--Louis V. Gerstner, Jr., CEO Retired IBM from Who Says Elephants Can’t Dance?.
Want a high performance culture in your organization? Every once in a while it’s time to take stock and ensure that the organization is focused on a clear strategy and that everyone is in alignment with what needs to be accomplished. Effective leadership must ensure that internal processes are focused on customer needs and the implementation of the organization's strategic plan.
The D.I.AL.O.G. diagnostic tool provides an organization's leadership with hard data as to where there are disconnects affecting results. The source of this data is the people within the organization. As a prelude to any development activity, this instrument will rapidly chart where an organization is strategically, as well as, from an organizational excellence standpoint. Our D.I.AL.O.G. (Data Indicating the ALignment of Organizational Goals) survey instrument will determine whether or not your people:
-- understand your strategy,
-- are committed to your overall goals,
-- are creatively involved in meeting customer needs, and
-- are encountering obstacles in achieving your goals.
The model for this instrument is the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award. The seven Baldrige categories provide a framework that has been proven time and time again. One just has to look at the results generated by companies that are Baldrige Award winners. The seven Baldrige categories are:
-- Leadership
-- Strategic Planning
-- Customer Focus
-- Information & Analysis
-- Human Resources Development & Management
-- Process Management
-- Business Results
These seven categories are called the 'Criteria For Excellence' and address all the elements critical for the health and survival of an organization.
How Does the Survey Work?
There are 70 statements, 10 per category, in the survey. It can be administered on-line or on paper to all or a sampling of your employees. Employees indicate the degree to which they agree or disagree with each statement. The employee also indicates his/her level within the organization if this is desired by management. A summary report is then generated in approximately one day (if on-line), 10 days (if on paper). The report is presented in color graphs and text. Areas of strength and areas of weakness are easily identified among the levels specified. The organization can then make choices about how to allocate its resources to meet the existing human capital situation.

Why D.I.AL.O.G. is superior to other assessment products?
1. Our instrument is based upon the most measured and scrutinized elements comprising organizational performance excellence in recent times. It measures seven elements that are recognized by business thinkers and business leaders alike as those base essential elements that must be aligned in order to achieve organizational success.
2. Our approach is unique in that we measure the interrelationship of the essential elements as predictors of future strength. We are not so much concerned with measuring communication for communications sake, but rather how effective you are in communicating your strategy and vision. As such, our approach is outcome focused, rather than simply measuring non-related activities.
