Facilitation

Jeri Quinn has been managing group dynamics for nearly 40 years, from classrooms to counseling groups to business retreats to corporate board rooms. Her exposure to 30 different industries and knowledge of group behavior gives her the ability to build trust and safety so that everyone participates. She asks the right questions, follows a trail of questions to its logical conclusion in action, is a catalyst for breakthroughs in group decision making, and channels conflict into positive results. Getting each of the participants’ commitment to move forward with their own action plans is how many groups view success.

Meetings often go better when the leader of the meeting is a disinterested party. The facilitator comes with no preconceived ideas. The participants are equally encouraged to offer their opinions (no favoritism). The meeting is kept moving and doesn’t get bogged down in tangential issues or unnecessary detail. The facilitator can use exercises and stories to get everyone’s input and maintain interest.

Facilitated meetings are great for:

Project planning
Creating better communication among partners and teams
Decision making
Strategic business planning
Conflict resolution between teams/divisions
Igniting cultural shifts
Merging cultures of merging firms

We meet with management to determine the important goals of the meeting, who will attend, the time and materials needed, agenda preparation, the number of meetings, the need for preliminary conversations with participants, etc. Post meeting evaluation and follow up can also be included.
